James Hendren

James Hendren is the current Chair of the Board at The Venture Center. James has also previously served as the CEO of Movista, a software company specializing in mobile ticketing solutions. Prior to that, they were the CEO of TicketSAGE, a ticketing software company that they co-founded in 1999.

Hendren began their career as a teacher at STEM School, University of Arkansas - Little Rock, where they taught computer science and mathematics. James later became the Executive Director of BOND.AI (EverySpend), a financial technology startup. James also served as the Scout Executive for the Boy Scouts of America from 2006 to 2009.

In addition to their work in the private sector, Hendren has also been active in several non-profit organizations. James is a founding member of the Arkansas Academy of Computing and has served on the board of directors for the Fund for Arkansas' Future and Accelerate Arkansas. James is also a founding partner of VIC Technology Venture Development, LLC.

James Hendren received their Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from the University of Arkansas.
