Alexander Turchin

Alexander Turchin, Ph.D., MBA has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Alexander is currently working as a Principal ML Engineer at The Very Group and as a Data Science Consultant at Valtech, both starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an AI/ML Lead at Yalantis from 2021 to 2022. From 2019 to 2021, Alexander held the positions of Senior Data Scientist at Skelia and Head of Data Science at Pigright AI GmbH. Before that, they were a Data Scientist at T-Mobile from 2018 to 2019. Alexander also has experience as a Data Scientist, Solution Architect, and Team Leader at Artificial Eye & Cognition from 2015 to 2018. Alexander began their career at the Ukrainian Center for Optimal Solutions in Informatics and Communications (UCOSIC) in 2006, where they served as a Data Scientist, Senior Consultant, and Project Manager until 2014. Additionally, they worked as a CFO at "\"Tezoro\"" from 2012 to 2014 and a Financial Analyst at CPG Assets Management in 2006.

Alexander Turchin, Ph.D., MBA completed a summer internship program at Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business in 2007. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the International Management Institute IMI-Kyiv from 2006 to 2007. Alexander holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, which they obtained from 1999 to 2002, with a specialization in Decision making & Theory of optimal solutions. Lastly, they obtained a Specialist degree in Applied mathematics from Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University from 1994 to 1999.
