Gareth Allen

Gareth Allen is an experienced engineering manager and software engineer with a diverse background in developing applications and managing technical teams. Currently serving as an Engineering Manager for The Very Group since March 2021, Gareth has previously held positions as Lead Software Engineer and Principal Software Engineer within the same organization. Prior roles include Technical Lead at Greensill and Full Stack Developer at Yodel, where responsibilities encompassed developing web portals and applications using various technologies such as Java, ReactJS, and Ruby on Rails. Earlier in the career, Gareth served as Android Tech Lead at MoneySuperMarket.com, Lead Developer at Dipstix.co.uk, and held several developer roles at Trader Media Group, Park Group plc, and Yodel. Gareth holds a BA Hons in Information Systems from Liverpool John Moores University, completed in 2008.
