Greg McCarthy

Greg McCarthy is an experienced Cyber Security professional currently serving as a Senior Cyber Security Analyst at The Very Group since October 2021. Prior to this role, Greg worked as a Technical Consultant in Professional Services at nscglobal, supporting IBM/AT&T networks, firewalls, and load balancers. Greg's extensive background includes serving as a Senior Security Engineer at MMI - Metropolitan, where responsibilities included firewall administration and pen testing, and as a Systems Engineer at Systems for Africa, focusing on a software rollout project for Metropolitan. Earlier in their career, Greg worked as a Senior Technical Engineer at USKO Communications, specializing in Microsoft BackOffice products, and as a desktop support technician for NatWest Bank. Greg holds a BTECH degree in Electrical Engineering from Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
