Lauren Young

Lauren Young has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Lauren began their career at Slater PR (now Limitless PR & Marketing) in 2005 as an Account Executive. Lauren then moved on to work as a Feature Writer at Lancashire Business View for a few months before joining MC2 (Manchester) Ltd as a Group Head in 2006. Lauren spent five years in this position before transitioning to Shop Direct in 2011. At Shop Direct, they held various roles such as Corporate PR Manager, Head of External Communications, and eventually Head of Communications. In 2020, Lauren joined The Very Group as Head of Communications before being promoted to Head of Culture & Communications and later Culture & Communications Director.

Lauren Young obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Journalism & English from The University of Salford, which they attended from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Psychology at The Manchester Metropolitan University between 1999 and 2000. Lauren's secondary education was completed at Withington Girls' School from 1990 to 1997.
