Seb Carss

Seb Carss is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in e-commerce technology and system development. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at The Very Group since January 2020, Seb has previously held multiple roles including Software Engineering Lead and Principal System Engineer. Seb's tenure at Shop Direct from September 2007 to January 2020 included responsibilities as a Principal Systems Engineer, where Seb focused on designing and building back-end e-commerce systems using the ATG framework and mentoring peers. Earlier, as an ATG Merchandising Developer, Seb developed an innovative in-house CMS solution. Seb started professional development as a Systems Developer at 360 Access Ltd, where contributions included programming client-driven features. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Computer Games Technology from Liverpool John Moores University and A-Levels in Physics, Maths, and Design & Technology from Christleton High School.
