Blair Bilodeau is a Senior Member of Research Staff at The Voleon Group, specializing in the development of systematic investment strategies through modern statistical learning. Previously, Blair served as a Graduate Researcher at the Vector Institute and a PhD Candidate at the University of Toronto, conducting research on minimax statistical theory and sequential decision making under the supervision of Daniel Roy. Additional experience includes a Research Intern position at Google, a Visiting Graduate Student at the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing, and at the Institute for Advanced Study. Earlier research work involved queueing theory applications in healthcare as an Undergraduate Researcher at Western University, and roles in risk research and data analysis at London Life and Bell, respectively. Blair's academic background includes a PhD in Statistics from the University of Toronto and an Honours BSc in Financial Modelling and Mathematics from Western University.
