Lorenzo Montagna

Lorenzo Montagna is the current Italy Chapter President at The VR/AR Association. Prior to this, they worked at PwC Italy as well as VR AR Association. Lorenzo has also worked with second st/\R\/R - Augmented & Virtual Reality to Metaverse. However, they are best known for their work at Yahoo!, where they served as Country Manager and Commercial Director from January 2004 to December 2016.

At Yahoo!, Lorenzo was responsible for Italian operations with a focus on advertising sales, btob marketing, and partnerships. Lorenzo oversaw a team of 90 employees, 40 of which were sales staff (8 of which were direct reports). Their areas of management included direct client and agency sales, sales operations and account management, sales strategy and btoB marketing, trade events, and coordination between the local team and global/EMEA functions such as finance, HR, legal, public policies, product, marketplace, and business dev.

During their time at Yahoo!, Lorenzo was consistently successful in "GTD" (Getting Things Done), always delivering target goals and often exceeding ambitious plans with limited resources. Lorenzo was appointed the best Country Manager across Yahoo! Europe for "Employees Engagement" and "Manager Efficacy and Efficiency" for six consecutive years. This complex survey was managed by different third parties institutes based on employees', managers', and peers' evaluations.
