Hannah Miao

Hannah Miao is a skilled journalist with a focus on economics and markets, currently serving as a China Economics Reporter and Markets Reporter at The Wall Street Journal since June 2022. Miao has also contributed as a Cookbook Editor for "Made Here: Recipes & Reflections from NYC’s Asian Communities" with Send Chinatown Love and held various reporting positions at CNBC, including Markets and Investing Reporter. Additional experience includes a fellowship with the Emma Bowen Foundation and freelance writing for multiple publications. Miao's early career features roles at Duke Chronicle and Poynter Institute, alongside internships at The New York Times and NBC News.
