Maïa Booker is an accomplished visuals editor with extensive experience in multimedia storytelling across various media outlets. Currently serving as a Visuals Editor at The Wall Street Journal since April 2021, Maïa previously held the role of Senior Multimedia Editor at Time Magazine from January 2019 to March 2021. Maïa's career also includes significant contributions as a Multimedia Producer at Greenpeace, where projects focused on the Americas region, and as a Photo and Multimedia Editor for The New Republic, overseeing photography and multimedia across multiple platforms. Additional experience includes podcast production for the International Monetary Fund, outreach for the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, and internships with Voice of America and Agence France Presse. Maïa holds a Master’s degree in Digital Media Journalism from Columbia University and an undergraduate degree in Arabic and Middle East Studies from the University of St Andrews, complemented by studies at The American University in Cairo.
