Rod James

Rod James is an experienced journalist specializing in private equity and finance. Currently a reporter at The Wall Street Journal since October 2022, Rod covers topics such as limited partners, secondaries, fundraising, and private credit on WSJ Pro Private Equity. Rod has also worked as a freelance journalist and editor since August 2015 and served as a senior reporter at PEI - Alternative Insight from April 2017 to October 2022. Previous roles include senior reporter at EMEA Finance and acting editor, as well as a senior features writer at New Statesman Media Group. Earlier in career, Rod was the editor for Latin America Country Intelligence and World Energy Markets at IHS Markit. Rod holds a degree in English Literature with French from the University of York, which was completed in 2008.
