Susan Lewis

SVP & Head, Drama Development, ABC Signature at Disney

Susan Lewis is senior vice president and head of Drama Development for ABC Signature, reporting to Executive Vice President Tracy Underwood. ABC Signature is a part of Disney Television Studios, alongside 20th Television and Touchstone Television.

Prior to this role, Lewis was SVP of Original Programming at Starz Entertainment since 2017. During her tenure, she oversaw multiple series including “Dublin Murders,” based on Tana French’s bestselling thriller novels “Dublin Murder Squad”; “Hightown,” created and executive produced by Rebecca Cutter and Jerry Bruckheimer; and the new hit series “P-Valley,” created and executive produced by acclaimed playwright Katori Hall.

Prior to Starz, Lewis was a producer for AK Worldwide, overseeing all creative development and production for Alicia Keys’ production company in digital, film, television, theater and publishing. Among other projects, she executive produced the unscripted series “Hustle” for Viceland, the films “The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete” and “Pariah,” and the Hallmark/ABC Humanitas award-winning television movie “Firelight.”

Prior to that, she was vice president of Development at MTV Films. In that position, she acquired the manuscript for Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling young adult novel “Twilight” and oversaw the initial development of that blockbuster film franchise alongside Paramount executives.

She began her career as a story editor at 3Arts Entertainment. She has a Bachelor of Arts from University of Wisconsin, Madison.
