Angela Elliott has a diverse work experience in the field of objects conservation. Angela currently holds the position of Terry Drayman-Weisser Head of Objects Conservation and William B. Ziff, Jr. Conservator of Objects at The Walters Art Museum, starting in January 2019. Prior to this role, they served as the William B. Ziff, Jr. Senior Conservator of Objects at the same museum from December 2016 to January 2019.
Before joining The Walters Art Museum, Angela worked at the Baltimore Museum of Art as an Associate Objects Conservator from January 2009 to December 2016. Angela also gained experience in archaeological conservation through their role as Head of Objects Conservation at the Gordion Archaeological Project from September 2003 to April 2015.
Furthermore, Angela has contributed to the conservation field with their various fellowship and internship positions. Angela was a Post-Graduate Fellow in Objects Conservation at The Walters Art Museum from October 2005 to December 2008, where they held the Samuel H. Kress Fellowship in Objects Conservation (January 2008-December 2009) and the Andrew W. Mellon Fellowship in Objects Conservation (October 2005-December 2007). Angela also worked as an Objects Conservator at the Sican Archaeological Project in October-November 2007.
In the early stages of their career, Angela served as a Graduate Conservation Intern at the Museums of New Mexico from September 2004 to August 2005. Angela also held a Graduate Conservation Intern position at the San Bartolo Archaeological Project in June-August 2004. Additionally, Angela gained experience at the National Museum of the American Indian, Smithsonian Institution as a Pre-program Conservation Intern from September 2001 to August 2002. Their archaeological experience includes a Field School Student role at the Hacımusalar Excavations in July-August 1999.

Angela Elliott began their education in 1996 at Birmingham-Southern College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Sculpture, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Art History, and a minor in History. From 2000 to 2001, they attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham and took courses in chemistry and art history. Finally, from 2002 to 2005, Angela pursued further education at Buffalo State University, obtaining a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Conservation with a specialization in Ethnographic and Archaeological Objects.
