Michael Thompson

Michael Thompson is a seasoned program advisor with extensive experience in federal acquisition policy and risk management, currently serving as a Program Advisor for the GSA’s Cyber-Supply Chain Risk Management Program since October 2010. In this role, Michael leads a program management office and advises the Senior Procurement Executive. Previously, positions at GSA included Senior Policy Advisor/Procurement Analyst and Integrity Officer/Program Analyst. Additionally, Michael is the Associate Director of the Marching Band for the Washington Commanders since May 2023 and has been the Associate Music Director for the Symphony Orchestra of Northern Virginia since September 2011. Michael holds a Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Oregon.
