Marianna Sotomayor

Marianna Sotomayor is a skilled Congressional Reporter at The Washington Post since March 2021, bringing extensive experience in political journalism. Prior to this role, Marianna worked at NBC News from August 2015 to February 2021 as a Political Campaign Embed, where notable contributions included extensive reporting on the 2020 presidential election and Joe Biden's campaign across multiple platforms. Marianna also served as an Associate Producer, delivering political coverage from Capitol Hill and conducting interviews that aired on major NBC programs. Further experience includes a Tim Russert Fellowship, where responsibilities encompassed covering significant national political stories and producing content for the 2016 presidential election. Marianna holds a Master’s Degree in Media and Strategic Communication and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Communication from The George Washington University, complemented by an academic experience at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
