Terrence McCoy

International Investigative Correspondent

Terrence McCoy is an accomplished journalist currently serving as the Rio de Janeiro Bureau Chief at The Washington Post since March 2014. McCoy has also held positions as a Poverty Reporter and a Foreign Affairs Reporter at the same organization. Prior to this, McCoy was a Staff Writer at Miami New Times from October 2012 to March 2014 and worked as a Reporter for Houston Press from June 2012 to October 2012. McCoy's experience includes volunteer service with the Peace Corps from June 2009 to June 2011. Academically, McCoy holds a Master of Arts in International Politics and Journalism from Columbia University, attained between 2011 and 2012, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Journalism, and Latin from the University of Iowa, completed in 2008.
