Eva Windhoffer (Dia)

Eva (Dia) Windhoffer is an experienced avian and coastal wildlife ecologist currently serving as an Avian Biologist at the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management since August 2024. With a strong background in environmental assessments, Windhoffer previously provided technical support for avian research projects at The Water Institute of the Gulf and assessed environmental injuries due to oil spills as a Coastal Resources Scientist at the Louisiana Oil Spill Coordinator's Office. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Marine and Environmental Biology from Nicholls State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Natural Resources Management from the University of Maryland. Windhoffer's diverse experience encompasses roles in organizations such as the National Park Service, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and U.S. Geological Survey, focusing on wildlife monitoring and data management.
