Russ Aaron

Russ Aaron has an extensive work experience in the media and broadcasting industry. Russ worked as a Senior Coordinating Director at The Weather Channel since February 2019, where they led and managed the Director/Technical Director team for all shows, implemented creative vision, and resolved production-related questions. Prior to that, they had a freelance career from 2014 to 2019, where they worked as a Producer, Director, and Technical Operations specialist for various sports events and special projects, including working with companies like ESPN, NBC, CBS, FOX, CNN, and The Weather Channel. Before their freelance career, Russ worked at NBCUniversal as a Senior Coordinating Producer from 2005 to 2014, overseeing live event broadcasts and studio operations. Russ also worked at Comcast Sports Southeast as a Coordinating Producer and Production Manager from 1995 to 2005, where they developed plans for remote production events and managed commercial production, local origination programming, studio programming, leased access programming, and remote production.

Russ Aaron attended The University of Alabama from 1987 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication.
