Barry Coyne

Barry Coyne is a seasoned patent attorney and partner at The Webb Law Firm since May 2018, focusing on intellectual property issues including litigation, counseling, agreements, and prosecution across patents, trademarks, trade dress, trade secrets, and copyrights. Prior to this role, Barry served as a partner in the Intellectual Property Group at Reed Smith LLP from September 1995 to April 2018, where the focus extended to patent-related litigation and counseling. Barry's technical background includes experience as an aerospace engineer at GE Aviation from June 1988 to September 1992, specializing in the aerodynamic and mechanical design of aircraft engines, as well as an internship at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory working on remotely piloted vehicles. Barry holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Chicago Law School, a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
