Alan Stewart

Alan Stewart has extensive experience in advanced manufacturing, innovation, and engineering management, currently serving as the Group Head of Advanced Manufacturing, Innovation and Research at The Weir Group PLC since September 2004. Stewart has held various leadership positions within the company, including Divisional Director of Engineering and Operational Support, Divisional Engineering Director, and Operations Director. Prior to this, Stewart worked as a Project Manager at PSEG from November 1999 to September 2004 and as a Project Engineer at AMEC for a year. Stewart holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, obtained in 1996, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering with Business Management and European Studies from the same institution, completed in 1995.
