Nate Looney

Wexner Field Fellow at The Wexner Foundation

Nate Looney is an experienced professional in community safety, belonging, and urban agriculture. Currently serving as the Director of Community Safety and Belonging at The Jewish Federations of North America and as a Wexner Field Fellow at The Wexner Foundation since March 2021, Looney focuses on developing leadership skills among Jewish professionals. As the CEO of Westside Urban Gardens since May 2015, Looney leads an urban agricultural start-up dedicated to providing organic microgreens. Previously, Looney managed racial justice initiatives at Avodah, emphasizing the engagement of Jews of Color in North America. An Army National Guard veteran, Looney also gained experience in real estate and aquaponic farming. Looney holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from American Jewish University and has participated in the Veterans to Farmers program.
