Tonantzin Carmona

Tonantzin Carmona is an accomplished professional in economic policy, currently serving as the Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy at the National Economic Council. Previous roles include Fellow at The Brookings Institution and Senior Advisor in the Inflation Reduction Act Program Office at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Tonantzin has also worked as the Illinois Political Director for Elizabeth Warren's presidential campaign and as a Special Assistant at The Chicago Community Trust. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Minor in Latino and Latina Studies from Northwestern University and advanced studies at Harvard Kennedy School.
