Ali Ahmed

Ali Ahmed has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Ali is currently working at The Whittan Group as the Group Head of FP&A, a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Group Finance Analyst at the same company from February 2021 to December 2021.

Before joining The Whittan Group, Ali worked as a Project Accountant at Cushman & Wakefield from January 2019 to December 2020.

Ali also has experience in the aerospace industry, where they worked at UTC Aerospace Systems. Ali served as a Treasury Team Lead from October 2017 to October 2018 and as a Management Accountant from October 2016 to September 2017. Ali began their career with UTC Aerospace Systems as an Assistant Management Accountant in August 2012 and stayed in that role till September 2016.

Prior to that, Ali worked at Goodrich as an Assistant Management Accountant from February 2012 to July 2012 and as a Graduate Accountant from July 2009 to January 2012.

Before entering the private sector, Ali gained experience in the healthcare industry. Ali worked at Selly Oak Hospital as an Accounts Assistant from June 2006 to September 2006 and at University Hospital as a Clerical Assistant from October 2004 to September 2005.

Earlier in their career, Ali worked at Impetus Automotive as a Project Analyst/Co-ordinator from September 2007 to September 2008.

With their diverse background and experience in finance and project management, Ali Ahmed brings a wealth of expertise to their current role as Group Head of FP&A at The Whittan Group.

Ali Ahmed's education history begins in 1998 when they attended Al-Hira School and obtained their GCSEs. From 2002 to 2004, they studied at Handsworth Grammar School and achieved A Levels in Chemistry, Maths, and Biology, with grades A, A, and B respectively. Ali then enrolled at Aston University from 2005 to 2009, completing their Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Accounting for Management with a focus on Accountancy, Economics, Phychology, and Maths. In 2010, Ali started studying at BPP University, where they pursued a degree in CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) in the field of Accounting and Finance, completing it in 2016. Lastly, in 2015 to 2016, they attended the University of Warwick - WMG and attained a Post Graduate Award in Business Leadership (with Merit), specializing in Business Administration and Management.
