Elvis Cordova serves as the Chief of Staff at The Wilderness Society since December 2022, following a tenure as Vice President of Public Policy and Advocacy at the National Recreation and Park Association from May 2020 to August 2022. Prior to this, Elvis founded and led Statecraft Strategies, a consulting firm in Washington, D.C., from July 2017 to May 2020. Elvis held multiple roles at the USDA, including Acting Under Secretary and Deputy Under Secretary, between February 2012 and January 2017, along with a position as Congressional and Public Affairs Specialist at the Farm Credit Administration. Elvis's earlier experience includes roles in public relations, program management, and as an economist, complemented by a robust educational background that includes an MPA from New York University and various certificates from respected institutions.
