Amanda Nye

Amanda Nye is an experienced educator currently serving as a Teacher at The Windward School in Manhattan Lower School since August 2022. Prior to this role, Amanda worked in various positions within the District of Columbia Public Schools from August 2018 to June 2022, including Special Education Teacher and Kindergarten Assistant Teacher. Amanda also gained experience as a Newsroom Intern at Fox 5 (WNYW-TV New York) during the summer of 2017 and served as a Student Fundraising Assistant for The Annual Fund at Denison University from August 2016 to May 2017. Amanda holds a Master of Science in Elementary Education and Teaching from Johns Hopkins University School of Education, completed in 2020, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Psychology from Denison University, awarded in 2018.
