Joe Schoeneck

Joe Schoeneck has a strong background in the wine and beverage industry. Joe started their career as an Outside Sales Representative at Johnson Brothers Liquor Co in 2000. Joe then moved to Blue Ridge Beverage Company, where they worked as a District Sales Manager from 2003 to 2005. In 2005, they joined E. & J. Gallo Winery and held various positions, including Field Marketing Manager, Project Manager - Brand Marketing, Sales/Management Training & Recruiting Manager, and Account Manager - Customer Development. From 2013 to 2015, Joe worked as a Senior Account Manager - Customer Development at E. & J. Gallo Winery. Joe then joined The Wine Group in 2015 as a Sr. Director - Trade Development. Joe was promoted to Vice President - Trade Development in 2017 and most recently held the role of Director - Trade Development Kroger East - Sales & Ecomm/Digital.

Joe Schoeneck obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management/Marketing from Wake Forest University between 2011 and 2013. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Cultural Anthropology at Appalachian State University from 1996 to 2000.

In terms of additional certifications, Joe Schoeneck earned the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust in February 2021. Joe also obtained the APPLIED BUSINESS ANALYTICS CERTIFICATE from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in July 2020.
