Nick Dunn helps diverse teams thrive by building intercultural competence and cohesion. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Florida while managing an independent coffee shop, he began his intercultural career as a Peace Corps volunteer in western China. In his eight years at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, he not only advised international students, but assessed, trained, and coached intercultural mindsets and skills for thousands of faculty, staff, and student leaders. As an Intercultural Development Inventory Qualified Administrator, Nick uses research-backed and field-tested methods to assess and train the skills that bridge diversity to inclusion.
Nick is passionate about supporting facilitator development as a member of the NAFSA Trainer Corps and the Trainer Development team, as well as the NAFSA Intercultural Training network. He also serves as the community curator for The Interchange Institute.
