Mehnaz Tabassum

Mehnaz Tabassum has a diverse range of work experience. Mehnaz started their career in 2016 by co-founding a charity and sustainability organization called Be A Savior. During their time with the organization, Mehnaz hosted city-wide programs that helped over 1600 individuals affected by poverty and contributed to increasing the tree count in a major region of Dhaka.

In 2019, Mehnaz worked as a SAT/IELTS/A-Levels tutor at Pi International Education (PIE), where they transferred valuable skills to students and created comprehensive curricula. Mehnaz tutored 310 students over several batches.

From 2020 to 2021, Mehnaz served as a Research Assistant in the Biology Laboratory at Colgate University. In this role, they conducted timed experiments on ferns to assess their stress reactions to hostile conditions.

In 2020, Mehnaz also became a Wellness Ambassador at the Shaw Wellness Institute at Colgate University. Mehnaz collaborated with influential alumni, industry professionals, and campus organizations to host events promoting financial and social wellness.

In 2021, Mehnaz interned at Grant Thornton Bangladesh as part of the Proposal Team. Mehnaz conducted statistical analyses, drafted methodologies and training modules, and updated client companies' net asset valuations.

In 2022, Mehnaz took on multiple roles. Mehnaz worked as a Technology & Communications Assistant at Athletics, Colgate University, where they updated websites, categorized athletics media and documents, and curated the story of athletic Hall of Honor nominees.

Mehnaz also became the President of the Colgate Chapter of The Women's Network. In this role, they spearheaded the chapter, planned networking and skill-building events, advertised events using the Mailchimp platform, and provided free services.

Lastly, Mehnaz served as an Orientation Leader at Colgate University in 2022.

Throughout their work experience, Mehnaz has demonstrated strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Mehnaz Tabassum completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics & Computer Science from Colgate University, from 2019 to 2023. In addition, they participated in an exchange program at The University of Manchester focusing on Economics & Computer Science from 2021 to 2022. Mehnaz also obtained a certification in Accounting Foundations from LinkedIn in July 2021.
