Samara Dun

Samara Dun has extensive experience in the nonprofit and philanthropic sector. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Development, Communications & Marketing at the World Affairs Council of Northern California. In this role, they collaborate with diverse stakeholders to foster partnerships, guide strategic communications, and support the organization's mission. Prior to this, Samara worked as a Senior Foundations Officer at the Environmental Defense Fund, focusing on building strong partnerships with foundations. Earlier in their career, Samara served as the Chief Development Officer at Larkin Street Youth Services, Director of Development at Ploughshares Fund, and Donor Relations Manager at Friends of the Earth. Samara began their career at the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, where they pioneered online fundraising systems and coordinated donor communications.
