Ellen Herbert is a seasoned writer and instructor with over three decades of experience at The Writer's Center, where the role has been pivotal since 1992. Ellen published a short story collection titled "FALLING WOMEN AND OTHER STORIES" in February 2012 and is the author of "THE LAST GOVERNMENT GIRL," an historical mystery that earned the Maryland Writers Association Award for Best Novel. Additionally, Ellen contributed to the academic field as an adjunct and assistant professor at Marymount University from 1999 to 2011. Ellen holds a Master of Fine Arts in fiction from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from East Carolina University.
