Shelly Gabel

Shelly Gabel currently serves as the Manager of Dietetics and Diabetes Education at ThedaCare, overseeing administrative and operational functions in both inpatient and outpatient care since August 2023. Gabel also works as a Registered Dietitian for the YMCA of the Fox Cities, and previously held a temporary consultant role with Diversify Dietetics, Inc., contributing to the establishment of the organization’s programming. Prior experience includes serving as Associate Dietetic Internship Director at NutraCo, Director of the Graduate Program in Dietetics and Assistant Professor at Mount Mary University, and various roles in management and education at the Medical College of Wisconsin and University of Wisconsin Green Bay. Gabel’s early career involved providing nutrition care and education at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Gabel holds a Professional Certification in Online Education Instruction and Instructional Design from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an MS in Dietetics from Mount Mary University, and a BS in Dietetics from the same institution.
