James Richard Otieno, PhD, is a seasoned genomic epidemiologist with extensive experience in bioinformatics and research. Currently serving as a Genomic Epidemiologist at Theiagen Genomics and a Consultant Bioinformatician for the World Health Organization, James has held significant positions at the Fogarty International Center at NIH, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and KEMRI - Wellcome Trust. A PhD graduate in Genomic Epidemiology from The Open University, James has complemented academic endeavors with practical experience, including roles as a Medical Representative and Volunteer Teacher. Educational credentials also include a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from the University of Leicester and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Moi University.
