Alec Duncan

Alec Duncan has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Alec started their career as a Personal Trainer at BODYTECH GYM in 2007 and continued in the fitness industry with a role as a Personal Trainer at Habit Group from 2011 to 2014.

In 2015, Alec worked as a Customer Service Agent at Avis Budget Group while studying at University. Alec then transitioned into a role at Davis Food Ingredients, first as a Customer Service Sales Support from 2017 to 2018, and then as a Junior Account Manager from 2018 to 2020. At Davis Food Ingredients, Alec focused on building and maintaining business relationships with customers, negotiating pricing contracts, and upselling products.

From 2018 to 2022, Alec joined MacroActive™ as a Client Onboarding Specialist and later as a Client Success Manager. Alec'sresponsibilities included onboarding new clients, providing training and support, and optimizing sales conversions through social media content strategy.

In 2022, Alec joined Darktrace as a Customer Success Manager, where they managed a portfolio of existing customers, ensuring they gained maximum utility from Darktrace's cyber security technology.

Currently, Alec is a Customer Success Manager at Thematic, a feedback analytics solution company. Alec'srole involves using generative AI and Natural Language Processing to help companies gain insights from customer feedback and make informed decisions.

Throughout their career, Alec has developed skills in client management, sales, training, customer support, and strategic planning.

Alec Duncan attended The University of Auckland from 2014 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Marketing, Communication, and Media. In terms of additional certifications, Alec completed Excel Essential Training (Microsoft 365) through LinkedIn in May 2023, Sales: Customer Success through LinkedIn in April 2023, and Solution Sales through LinkedIn in June 2022. Earlier in their education, Alec received a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor Level 1 certification from the New Zealand Institute of Golf in 2011 and a Diploma in Personal Training from the New Zealand Institute of Health and Fitness in 2007.
