Darnell Laval

Darnell Laval has a diverse work experience in the media industry. Darnell started their career at TheFlowLive.com as an intern in 2006 and later worked as an intern at SmallWorld TV, Lifetime Television, and City Lights Television. In 2008, they joined Lifetime Television as a Media Librarian and also did freelance media contracting from 2006 to 2008. In 2013, they briefly worked as a Webby Awards Video Producer at The Webby Awards. Darnell then became a Media Consultant at Human The Story in 2018 and briefly at Transform Films Inc. in 2019. Darnell's most recent position is as the Head of Technical Operations at The Mill since December 2022.

Darnell Laval has a diverse education history. Darnell obtained a Bachelor's degree in Digital Media Production from The Art Institutes, where they studied from 2005 to 2008. Following this, they pursued an M.S. in Media Psychology at Walden University, completing the program from 2009 to 2011. In 2022, Darnell Laval enrolled in the OpenEDG Python Institute, where they are currently studying Python Programming.

In addition to their formal education, Darnell Laval has also acquired several certifications. In 2013, they became a Certified Television Operator through the Society of Broadcast Engineers. In 2018, they obtained the Apple Certified Associate certification from Apple and became a Certified DaVinci Resolve Pro from Blackmagic Design.
