Head Of Production at The Mill

Sam Talwalkar has extensive experience in the production and marketing industry. Sam is currently the Head of Production at The Mill, a position they have held since May 2022. Prior to this, from 2020 to 2022, they worked as the Senior Head of Academics at Seamedu School of Pro-Expressionism.

In 2020, Talwalkar also served as the Asian Marketing Director and Producer at Indigo Asia Production. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Senior Producer at BBDO Singapore.

Talwalkar has a background in founding and leading their own production house, Cosmic Panda, from 2012 to 2019. Sam also worked as the Films Head (on contract for Fonterra) at BBDO Lanka in 2016, where they executed a notable brand film campaign.

Earlier in their career, they held positions at Toolbox Studio as an Executive & Creative Producer from 2011 to 2014. During this time, they also served as the Head of Academics at Seamedu School of Pro-Expressionism, where they developed syllabus and collaboration with Toolbox Studio for students to gain industry experience.

Before that, they worked as a Freelancer in Australia, taking on various roles in production, cinematography, editing, directing, and VFX from 2006 to 2009. Sam also worked as a freelance cinematographer and editor at Hipwell International Production Services from 2007 to 2008.

Sam Talwalkar started their education journey in 1997 at Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on Business/Commerce. In 2002, they attended Vikshi Institute of Media Studies and obtained a Certificate in Cinematography. In 2006, Sam enrolled at Sydney Film School and completed a Diploma of Screen in Film/Cinema/Video Studies. Later on, in 2022, they pursued a Certificate in Creative Writing at the British Council. Finally, in 2023, they furthered their education at the British Council with a degree in Storytelling at the Workplace: Communicating with Impact.
