Kristina Nikkhah

Kristina N. is an accomplished Artificial Intelligence Researcher at OASIS since January 2020, specializing in computer vision, deep learning, and biometric identity, with expertise in machine learning on edge computing devices. Previously, Kristina worked at Hoag Hospital from December 2015 to March 2018 in cancer pathology, providing real-time analysis of tissue samples and making critical decisions in high-pressure situations, while also developing a passion for AI to improve diagnostic processes. Earlier career experiences include serving as a Scientist at Pathnostics from October 2013 to December 2015, where tissue sample diagnosis was conducted, and as a Biomedical Engineer & Researcher at Beckman Laser Institute from July 2012 to May 2013, focusing on biomedical applications of laser technology. Educational qualifications include a BS in Biology from UC Irvine and an MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering from California State University, Fullerton.
