Alexander Funk is an experienced water resources and environmental policy specialist currently serving as the Director of Water Resources and Senior Counsel at the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership since August 2021. Prior roles include Agriculture & Rural Resiliency Policy Specialist for the Colorado Water Conservation Board, where responsibilities included managing water management projects for the agricultural community, and Western Policy Director and Staff Attorney for the National Young Farmers Coalition, focusing on state policy strategy and legislative analysis. Funk's earlier experiences include positions in organizations such as American Rivers and the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Clinic, contributing to water conservation efforts and legal research on environmental law. Alex holds a JD/Masters in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law and Graduate School and a BS in Environmental Policy and Planning from Virginia Tech.
