Al Pirro

Al Pirro has extensive work experience in the medical field, starting in 2002. Al has held various roles such as Tele-ICU Physician at Specialist TeleMed, Medical Director at Theoria Medical, ICU Medical Director at Onslow Memorial Hospital, Critical Care Physician at Medicus, Facility Medical Director at TeamHealth, ICU Medical Director, Intensivist, and Hospitalist at the University of MD Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Institute, Medical Director at Calvert Manor Healthcare Ctr, and ICU Medical Director, Clinical Director, and Dept. Chair of Adult Hospitalists at Union Hospital of Cecil County. Al also owned and served as President of Hospital Physician Specialists, LLC. Throughout their career, Al Pirro has demonstrated leadership, expertise in critical care and hospitalist services, and a strong ability to develop and grow healthcare programs.

Al Pirro earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Anesthesia and Critical Care from The University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 1987. Al also obtained several additional certifications, including Certified Physician Executive (CPE) from The Certifying Commission in Medical Management in 2017, Certification in Anesthesiology: Critical Care Medicine from The American Board of Anesthesiology in 2012, and a North Carolina Medical License from the North Carolina Board of Medicine in 2014. Al has a pending Virginia Medical License from the Virginia Board of Medicine.
