Sherri Dovico

Sherri Dovico has extensive experience in the field of regulatory compliance and laboratory management. Sherri is currently working as a Regulatory Compliance Consultant at Theralink Technologies, Inc., where they are responsible for developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures in accordance with various industry standards. Sherri'srole also includes providing quality assurance, quality control, and quality auditing, as well as identifying and implementing quality improvement initiatives. Prior to this, Sherri held the position of Laboratory Manager at Theralink Technologies, Inc. and Avant Diagnostics, Inc., where they utilized their expertise as a histotechnologist and research specialist. Sherri has also worked as a Quality & Operational Improvement Engineer at the University of Iowa Health Care. Additionally, Sherri has experience as a laboratory manager and lead histotechnologist at Alta Vista Dermatology and Flagship Biosciences, respectively. Sherri has worked in various other roles in the field, including as a histotechnologist at Sky Ridge Medical Center and as an immunofluorescence technician at the University of Colorado Dermatopathology Consultants. Furthermore, Sherri has worked as a lead histotechnologist at IHCtech, LLC and as a professional research associate at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Sherri began their career as a research associate at Premier Laboratory, LLC. Sherri Dovico's expertise lies in regulatory compliance, laboratory management, quality assurance, and histotechnology.

Sherri Dovico completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Iowa from 1996 to 2003. Sherri also holds an additional Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from the same institution. In terms of certifications, Sherri obtained the Current Good Laboratory Practices Certified Professional, Certified Process Validation Professional, and Current Good Manufacturing Practices Certified Professional (GMPCP) certifications from The Center for Professional Innovation & Education (CfPIE) in June 2021, January 2021, and December 2020, respectively. Sherri received the Root Cause Analysis certification from the ASQ Human Development and Leadership Division in November 2020. Additionally, Sherri obtained the Qualification in Immunohistochemistry (QIHC) certification from ASCP in July 2012. Sherri also holds various certifications from CITI Program, including GCP Course for Clinical Trials Involving Investigational Medical Devices, Human Subjects Protections and Ethical Principles - Biomedical Researchers, GCP for Clinical Investigations of Devices, GDPR Expanded, GDPR for Research and Higher Ed, Human Subjects Research – Biomedical (Biomed) Comprehensive, and Human Subjects Research – Biomedical (Biomed) Refresher 1, 2, and 3. Furthermore, Sherri holds the certification of Histotechnologist (HTL) from ASCP since August 2011. Most recently, they obtained certifications in Shipping Infectious Substances (IATA and DOT) and Shipping with Dry Ice from Eduwhere in March 2022.
