Sami Romdhani has extensive work experience in various roles related to machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and research. In their current role as a Machine Learning Manager at TheraPanacea since 2023, they oversee machine learning projects. Previously, at IDEMIA from 2011 to 2023, Sami held the position of Deep Learning Research Team Leader, managing the Face Recognition team and achieving impressive results in NIST's FRVT competitions. They also worked as a 3D Computer Vision and Machine Learning Research Scientist, developing algorithms and utilizing 3D modelling and machine learning techniques. Before that, they were a Research Scientist at Safran Morpho from 2008 to 2011. Earlier in their career, Sami worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Basel from 2005 to 2008, focusing on 3D statistical prior model for landmark point detection. They also gained research experience at the University of Freiburg, Microsoft Research Cambridge, and the University of Westminster, London. Their work at Alcatel Telecom as a Software Engineer from 1996 to 1998 demonstrates their software development skills.

Sami Romdhani's education history begins with four years at Ecole Polytechnique de Bruxelles, where they pursued M2 Engineering from 1991 to 1995. This was followed by a year at the University of Glasgow, from 1995 to 1996, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Electronics Engineering. Later, Sami pursued a PhD in Computer Vision from the University of Basel, which they completed between 2003 and 2005.
