Paul Hawkins

Paul Hawkins has over 30 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Paul is currently serving as the Senior Director of External Manufacturing and Supply at Theratechnologies Inc. In their previous role at the same company, they held the position of Senior Director of Global Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Pharmaceutical Development. Prior to Theratechnologies, Paul was the Quality Director and Responsible Person (RP) at Theratechnologies Europe Ltd. Paul also worked as the Quality Director and Qualified Person (QP) at AVADEL Pharmaceuticals plc, where they were responsible for maintaining quality programs, product release, and supplier auditing/qualification. Before that, they served as the Region Head of Contract Operations QA at Mylan and as a Senior QA Manager at Abbott. Paul also has experience working at Wyeth Medica Ireland as the Technical Services Site Lead and at Wyeth as an Associate Director of Validation & Technology, Validation Manager, and Validation Engineer. Paul began their career as a Validation/Technical Specialist at Warner Lambert Ireland.

Paul Hawkins has a diverse education history. Paul obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Pharma Manufacturing Technology from Trinity College Dublin in the year 2000 to 2001. Prior to that, they earned a Masters degree in Biotechnology from The University of Manchester from 1989 to 1990. Paul'searliest educational achievement was a Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Galway, which they obtained from 1984 to 1988. In addition to their formal education, Paul also holds a certification in CMO Contracting, Oversight, and Value Optimization from Symmetric Training, obtained in October 2022.
