Leah O'Brien

Leah O'Brien has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Leah is currently working as the Director of Clinical Science at Theravance Biopharma US, Inc. Prior to this, they held the position of Principal Medical Science Liaison at Prothena Corporation plc. Leah also served as an Associate Director of Clinical Trial Liaison - Neurology at Theravance Biopharma Ireland Limited. Additionally, Leah has worked in various roles at Genomics Medicine Ireland, AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals (Ireland) Ltd, Novartis Ireland Ltd, Pfizer Healthcare Ireland, Astellas Pharma Ltd, Abbott Ireland Diagnostics Division, and Virco Ireland Ltd.

Leah O'Brien earned a BSc in Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics from University College Dublin between 1996 and 2000. Leah then pursued a PhD in Neuro-Immunology and Gastrointestinal Inflammation from 2001 to 2005 at the same institution. Later, they completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine from Trinity College Dublin from 2009 to 2011.
