Sean Baumann

Sean Baumann is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in cloud platform engineering and architecture. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Software Strategy & Operations at Thermo Fisher Scientific since January 2014, Sean has held various leadership roles, including Vice President of Digital Engineering and Senior Director of Emerging Technology, focusing on software and cloud architecture. Prior experience includes directorial positions at Life Technologies, where Sean led product development and cloud application architecture, as well as senior management roles overseeing global networks and communications services. Sean's career began with security engineering roles at Celera Genomics and Sprint. Sean holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Hood College and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Mount St. Mary's University.
