Jade Dickinson

Jade Dickinson has worked in a variety of roles in the software engineering and development field. In 2022, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer for Theta Lake. From 2019 to 2022, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Simply Business, where they led the planning and delivery of adding Sign in to the homepage, spiked out architectural approaches for launching the customer account in the US, added One Time Code as an alternative to password sign in, and introduced PACT tests to enforce contracts between services and upstream services. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Software Developer at carwow. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Software Developer at SARD JV, where they built a microservice using AWS Lambda and Node. From 2015 to 2016, they were an Assistant Project Manager, Special Projects, BioMed Central at Springer Nature. From 2014 to 2015, they were a GIS Volunteer, Digital Maps team at the British Red Cross, where they contributed to Simon Johnson's data visualisation web app of the Ebola epidemic. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Journalist/Sales Support Executive, franchise marketing at Dynamis. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Bookseller at Waterstones. From 2012 to 2010, they were a Production Intern, BBC Science and a Production Intern, BBC Specialist Factual at the BBC.

Jade Dickinson studied Biology at Imperial College London from 2008 to 2011, earning a BSc (Hons) ARCS. Jade then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science at Birkbeck, University of London from 2015 to 2017.
