Scott Ahrens

Scott Ahrens has over 20 years of experience in various roles within the industry. From 1992 to 1996, they worked as a Product Manager at Cole-Parmer. Scott then joined BYK-Gardner USA as a Product Manager and Catalog Business Manager from 1996 to 2003. Since 2003, Scott has been with Thiele Kaolin Company, where they have held multiple positions. Scott served as the Marketing Manager from 2003 to 2006, during which they revamped the company's website and increased new product sales by introducing them to key accounts. From 2006 to 2013, Scott was the Regional Sales Manager for Export Markets, responsible for driving sales growth in international markets. Scott then became the North American Sales Manager, leading a team of five people and focusing on sales of kaolin pigments for paper coating applications and other specialty markets until 2018. From 2018 to 2019, Scott served as the Industrial Business Manager, responsible for sales and marketing of Thiele's kaolin products in various end-use markets. Currently, they are the Director of Purchasing & Logistics, where they lead a team in securing necessary logistics and managing purchasing for raw materials, MRO inventory, and capital expenditures.

Scott Ahrens completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Georgia Southern University, from 1987 to 1992. Following this, they pursued further education at DePaul Driehaus College of Business, where they obtained an MBA in Marketing Management from 1993 to 1996. Their field of study during their MBA program was Marketing.
