Olivier Potterat

Olivier Potterat is an accomplished professional in the field of pharmaceutical biology with extensive experience in academia and publishing. Since January 2016, Olivier has served as an Editor for Planta Medica at Thieme Group. Concurrently, Olivier holds the position of Senior Research Associate and Titularprofessor at Universität Basel since March 2005. Additional academic roles include Visiting Professor at Universität Wien in 2019. Prior experience includes Senior Editor for Chemistry & Biodiversity at Wiley-VHCA AG from 2008 to 2015 and Head of Natural Product Laboratory at Boehringer Ingelheim from 1998 to 2005. Olivier began an academic career as an Assistant Professor at the University of Lausanne and was a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen. Olivier obtained a PhD in Pharmaceutical Biology from the University of Lausanne and completed habilitation at the University of Basel.
