Purpose (overarching statement of the primary purpose of the role)
The purpose of this role is to provide Dayforce consulting support for all aspects of the assigned Dayforce Projects.
About the opportunity
The Dayforce GL Consultant participates in all stages of the delivery lifecycle (discovery, configuration, testing, deployment, post-go-live support), and may participate in one or more activities. Deliverable responsibilities include gathering customer requirements, configuring the Dayforce solution to meet documented customer requirements, setting, and managing customer expectations, providing guidance to and oversite to more junior consultants, identifying risks and working with team to resolve.
What you'll deliver (essentially what will you deliver, what you will do/be accountable for and how you will do it, including performance and KPIs)
Understand the GL questionnaire and workbook and explain how the org structure impacts GL.
Define the security roles for GL.
Configure basic general ledger information within Dayforce
Review the configuration and make refinements
Configure advanced GL options including allocations, month end accruals, and default run settings.
Audit and test the configuration.
Consult and provide best practices and recommendations on new product functionality ensuring the client is maximizing their investment.
Document and validate customer’s business requirements and map to product functionality.
Configure application to meet customer’s documented business requirements.
Conduct consulting sessions (on the phone and in-person) and document with meeting minutes.
Attend internal project meetings and provide status on progress of activities and deliverables.
Provide customers with follow-up consulting and general assistance in areas of expertise.
Be a “go-to” resource for specific functional areas for both internal and external users.
Contribute to internal product initiatives.
Document solutions and contribute to a solutions repository.
Contribute to internal knowledge share; review posted feedback on a continuous basis and respond to questions.
Participate in Continuing Education sessions.
Complete new release training on a timely basis; be fully versed on new and/or enhanced functionality in each product release.
Approximately 85% billable utilization.
