Samir Succar

Samir Succar currently serves as the Head of Business Development and Customer Success at ThinkLabs AI, Inc., where the focus is on leveraging AI-driven insights for enhancing grid planning and operations. Previously, Samir held various leadership roles at ICF from 2012 to 2025, including Senior Director of Energy Markets & Planning, where the emphasis was on sector transformation and consulting in areas such as grid modernization and energy resilience. Earlier experiences include positions as Director of Distributed Grid Strategy and Senior Manager of Distributed Energy Resources at ICF, alongside a role as Staff Scientist at the Natural Resources Defense Council, and Research Staff at Princeton University. Samir began a career in physics at Schlumberger. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Energy Systems Analysis and a MSE in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University, as well as a BA in Physics and Computer Science from Oberlin College.
