Prior to their current role, Julie was the Design Director at Blackline Collective, where they developed systems and processes to support design projects for various creative professionals. Julie'sresponsibilities included creating visual identities, designing digital touchpoints, directing campaign art direction, and implementing social marketing strategies. Julie worked with start-ups, non-profits, small businesses, and government entities.

Julie also has experience at The Beauty Shop, where they held multiple roles. As the Digital Director, they guided and coached a team of designers, oversaw the creation of visual design systems, and provided daily feedback to ensure successful implementation in digital environments. Additionally, they served as the Interactive & Design Lead, Designer & Developer, Junior Designer & Developer, and Intern Designer & Developer during their tenure at The Beauty Shop.

Julie co-founded VISIBLE and served as a Design Equity Tournament Advisor. Furthermore, Julie worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Portland State University, where they created and taught curriculum for Interactive Media courses, covering topics such as web development, wireframing, prototyping, design, and coding.
