The Senior Engineering Manager will coordinate the efforts of the software development team, manage human resources, and enhance productivity by addressing blockers, facilitating internal and external communications, and fostering trusted client relationships while delegating clearly documented workloads. They will demonstrate strong emotional intelligence and leadership skills. This position is based in Warsaw and presence once a week in the client’s office could be needed.

Your Daily Responsibilities:

• Define strategies, set goals to align team efforts with project or company-wide objectives.
• Long-term project scope planning.
• Manage human and financial resources allocated to teams (including recruitment, personnel evaluation, and budget management).
• Collaborate closely with other departments (e.g., marketing, production, etc.).
• Implement and oversee software engineering processes for teams to ensure standards aligned with the company's.
• Identify and manage potential project-related risks.
• Act as a liaison between engineering teams and clients with the Product Owner by reporting progress, challenges, and needs.
• Contribute to high-level technical decisions, establishing standards and best practices for the team to follow.
• Contribute to the development of a multinational retail corporation's mobile application, used by millions of users.

Our Ideal Colleague:

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or relevant experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Experience in managing software engineering teams.
• In-depth knowledge of best practices in software engineering, mobile and web technologies, software architecture, and cybersecurity.
• Strong communication skills both orally and in writing (French and English).
• Strong leadership skills.
